The Coffee Spot & Lounge in Calinan District, Davao City, is a cozy haven for coffee enthusiasts and casual diners alike. Nestled in a charming locale, it boasts a relaxing vibe that’s perfect for studying or social gatherings with friends. Patrons like Cathy Mansibang appreciate the comfortable seating and inviting atmosphere, which enhances the overall experience.
While the menu features great food at affordable prices, some guests, including Glaiza Mae Dagondon and Niza Delos Reyes, have noted that service can be slow, particularly during peak hours with larger groups. This could be a drawback for those seeking a quick bite during lunch. However, many find the ambiance and quality of food worth the wait. Adz Asnawi points out the potential for the space to accommodate meetings and larger gatherings with some additional seating on the second floor.
Justin Wermers offers a mixed review of the coffee and cakes, noting the cappuccino’s sweetness might not be for everyone, but the desserts still hit the spot, albeit at a higher price point. Overall, The Coffee Spot & Lounge is an appealing choice for those looking to unwind with quality beverages and meals, provided they have a bit of patience for the service.

Reviews for The Coffee Spot & Lounge
Review highlights
Based on 107 reviewsThe Coffee Spot & Lounge in Davao City is widely appreciated for its cozy and inviting ambiance, making it an ideal place for relaxation, studying, or casual gatherings. Customers frequently praise the quality of coffee and the variety of food, noting affordable prices as a strong point. The lounge's comfortable seating enhances the overall experience, although there are suggestions to expand seating capacity, particularly on the upper floor, to better accommodate larger groups and meetings. On the downside, several patrons have highlighted slow service, especially during busy periods, which may affect those looking for a quick dining experience. While the food and environment are generally well-received, improvements in service speed and a more balanced drink menu could elevate the lounge’s appeal further.
Cozy café in Davao with good coffee, comfy seating, and a relaxing vibe—great for studying or hanging out with friends.
We like the food. It's the service that is slow. Especially if you are a big group dining. A beautiful place to meet within Calinan
Great food and affordable prices. Had they added more seats and space at the second floor, it would be a great venue for meetings and barkada gatherings.
Decent spot for a coffee or a cake. Not a big fan of the long lasting (sweet) milk in the cappuccino. Cakes are decent, but expensive though. Service was okay…
The food & ambiance is great but the serving time is super slow. It's not a lunch out friendly for our working individuals.
The place is strategically located in Calinan. good spot indeed for quick catch ups and affordable food. HOWEVER, service is just toooooo sloooooooow as attested by several reviews here. I arrived there at 3pm and i was alone and i had to call several times to ask if they are indeed open, and if they will ask for my order. Getting their attention to take order- 30mins Taking the order- 10mins serving the order of drinks- 30mins serving pizza- 50mins bill out- 30mins So if you want to cone here, be sure you are not too famished and you have the luxury to wait, also add patience. :)
Slightly hidden just along the highway. This shop was too warm inside, with a second floor and some parking. Crunchy nachos were shareably-sized for three. Latte, way too sweet. The timing was a mistake with the group of loud office employees that hour on the next table. Pleasant staff. Ample food choices that’s reasonable. If I’m in the area this is on my most-likely-to-visit for snacks.
Visited this place when we were one our way to Bukidnon, coffee and sandwiches is great
